Why Good for Us?

Through her own experiences and those in her network, Good for Us Founder
Aleisha Keating realised that many professionals working in the not-for-profit and social enterprise sectors are hovering on the brink of
burnout and overwhelm. As a Manager of a not-for-profit organisation herself, with a background in teaching yoga and meditation, Aleisha created Good for Us to change this common story of those working in for-purpose organisations.

For-purpose professionals are the changemakers of society. They give enormously to help others, seeking to improve people's lives, our communities and the environment. They often work within constrained time, budget and people resources, which can result in these professionals feeling overwhelmed and overworked. Frequently, they work for small organisations without formal structures or budgets to support employee well-being.

Good for Us helps for-purpose professionals to do good in the world from a nourished, grounded and supported space. We believe that before for-purpose professionals do good in the world, they must first do ‘good for us’. This means prioritising their own well-being first. Our community is a place for learning and supporting each other. It is where you'll discover simple supportive techniques to integrate into your everyday life so you can thrive.

Good for Us First

There's oceans of pollution

Cities of homeless

Precious flora and fauna disappearing

Children to be educated

Marginalised to be empowered

Landscapes to be restored

Justice to be served

Communities to be connected

People to be fed

Your passion is admirable

Your drive inspiring

Your vision uplifting

There's much to do

But

Let's create space for you

To breathe

To connect

To pause and reflect

To rejuvenate

So you can

Continue to spread

Your sparkle into the world

And keep some of your sparkle

Just for you
